Max is a passionate artist, musician, and teacher based in Washington DC.  Max graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in sculpture, and has spent a lifetime studying drawing and painting starting with private lessons when he was 7. 

 

Max has lived on several continents and is continually inspired by the art and music from cultures all over the world, which is a central part of his teaching philosophy.  Through both his private and group lessons his primary goal is always first and foremost to engender a strong and meaningful love of the arts from a very young age, and expose his students to cultural traditions from around the globe.  Teaching alongside his brother, Sam Levine, he is thrilled to be a part of little Ivies!
